In this episode I spend some time on updates and some philosophical thoughts on my worldview as a struggling artist.

I cap off the end with a discussion on increasing our efficiency and how that may even enhance aspects of the quality in our art.

Thank the sir Marshall for another show.
You are rolling and learning.
Not sure if you follow @ErikJFisher on Twitter, but he recently started a show called Beyond The To Do List (http://beyondthetodolist.com/) and has interviewed Michael Hyatt and Cliff Ravenscraft and a few others so far. Just thought of this as you mentioned efficiency in your show notes.
I was going to recommend Buffer last show, but forgot, no need to as you said you use it already. Another one is Hootsuite which is free and will allow you to set the dates, so if you have something you want down the road you can use that. Just make sure to have it shorten the link so you can get the analytic.

K, bye

Just a tip on Blender - You could totally use it to do grafitti-type art... but in 3D. Scan in your designs, trace out the parts in curves, extrude and then fool around with the renders. You could get some wicked effects, and render at nice, high resolutions. Sell the print as a high-quality download. Maybe throw in an option for a copy of the .blend file.

Thanks Marshall for another great episode.

My eyes glaze over most mainstream superhero comics. Maybe its the over rendering which looks more like engraving than drawing or the computer colouring. Every inch of the artwork seems to have the same level of detail, all shouting for attention.

I grew up reading marvel comics in the early 70's. Uk Marvel used to reprint The Fantastic Four Kirby stories in black and green on terrible rag paper but the dynamism of the artwork and stories always came across.

By the way, I think your voice comes across really well on the podcast, a very relaxed conversational tone. Also love your favourite saying "It is what it is". Now that should be a t-shirt maybe said by one of your characters. It could rival Robert Crumb's "Keep on trucking!"

cheers
Eddy

Yea nothing like some good ol Kirby for sure!!! I see what you mean when you say your eye's glaze over. I get that too sometimes but it's like an addiction or something. The art however over rendered to me is still amazing many times. I do however tend to feel a lot more inspired though when I go through the old comics from 70's and before!

Thanks for the compliment on my talking style! I think it will continue because I can't change my voice lol "It Is What It Is" I do love that phrase! People try to over complicate things or are afraid to be honest. I try to not contaminate what things are with my slant on the subject good or bad.

Anyways man Thanks so much for continuing to listen!!! And keep blowing us all away with that amazing art!!!

Nice to get retweeted by Toon Boom. I am a big fan of your animation and can't wait to see more! Last year I was retweeted by Artrage and Manga Studio and saw a slight rise in my followers. The secret is to get those eyes to stay... I don't know the whole answer.. Love the show and the honesty... ArrOOoo!

Yes getting the eyes to stick around that is the trick isnt it! Well being as engaging as possible is one way. Also having a very welcoming site with simple free give aways and calls to action can help as well. What I really need to do is get this newsletter list up and running. That is often a very key aspect to any online biz! Anyways man Thanks so much for listening and I really appreciate the compliments! Lookin forward to your book man! No pressure just keep doing your thing!!! Hope all is well!
