Hey Whats up everyone! Hope your doing well! So today I just wanted to let you guys know that DJP is shifting focus a little for awhile. In the past few years I have mostly been focusing on art and toy projects as well as the Escape Artist Podcast. But I've always been all about the music of Hip Hop as well. It just hasn't been my focus lately. Grinding Toward Success Recently I meet up with some online guys known as the GTS (Grinding Towards Success) Movement. This is a collective of beat makers/music producers who have been working really hard and have found some authentic ways of marketing there beats online. I have tried many times to sell a lot of my creations online and beats has been one I've tried multiple times with only a little progress. I have a lot of beats Ive made in the past that have never been used and it seems like a waist but I think of it as good practice. I'm definitely a far better beat smith these days than I was over 20 years ago when I first started. All that being said I decided to join up with GTS Movement because they were talking a lot about the stuff I've been researching on as far as marketing and online business goes and it seemed like they we're on the same line of thinking as me. The thing that makes this a really perfect opportunity is they've found some ways to take all that markety stuff and translate it into practical steps for they type of stuff I like to do. That translation has been where I've often gotten stuck so I feel like this is a perfect fit right now. What About The Comics? So you may be wonder what's happening to Donkey Jaw Projects and all the comics and projects ive been working on. Well some of it is going away and some of it is staying. DJP will not stop. The beats are just another part under the DJP umbrella. As far as the comics go GLYF and Resident Aliens is on the backburner and The Travelers will eventually continue with a different artist. I had to put The Travelers down because it was way too big of a commitment and it was too distracting for what I'm trying to do now. Anything music related outside of beats is on the backburner but may move along quicker because it is related to the beat stuff. But most of all I want to do something that I've never trully done in all of my time trying to make this art and music work. That is FOCUS!!!! Really the only thing other than beats I'm doing right now is keeping up with The Escape Artist podcast. That has been one of the only things that actually seems to create real traction and plus it's kind of therapeutic for me lol. Also it's perfectly natural to the content of the show for me to talk about what I'm doing with the Beats as well. So in kind of a robust nut shell that's what is going on. New YouTube Channel! One thing you might want to check out even if your not into Hip Hop so much is my new YouTube channel for PlexBeats. I post new video's there everyday and many of them are what I call Artist Advantage Tips mainly focused on tips for rappers but 90% of what I post there can really be used by any creative person doing stuff online and really even just the regular business people online. So down below is a video where I go over much of what I've said here as well. Also if you want to link up with the Artist Advantage Tips or what I'm doing with PlexBeat's you can find all of that stuff here. Thank You everyone who has been supporting and following my progress so far. Everything is still pretty much the same just a little shift in focus. You can still contact me and hang out with me in all the same places you previously have. And the comics and all that are not going away just a little slower progress. More Art!!! P.S. Through PlexBeats I plan on starting up a whole section of Album Cover Art where people can lease art from me for there covers and even hire me to do exclusive work as well so a lot of art is still going to be coming very soon!!!! Thank You so Much for your support!!!! Sincerely, - Marshall 'PLEX' Couture Also Find me on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube

All that being said I decided to create this little E.P. of currently unreleased songs to help support his family. https://calmplex.bandcamp.com/album/for-praverb
All proceeds will be given to his family to help with the funeral costs. Please help with prayer and support of $1 or more so we can help make this transition a little less painful for those he left behind. Thank You so Much for your support!!!! It's nothing super ground breaking but if your like me you need an extra dose of common sense and inspiration from time to time. My advice went a little something like this. Number one first priority learn the fundamentals! When drawing anything try to work in this order. Gesture first, form second, and then details last. Also learn good proportion and figure construction. When you get antsy and feel that the fundamentals are getting boring go ahead and draw whatever you want for fun even ignoring the rules if you like. Never lose sight of drawing for fun this is very important! I substitute the word 'Practice' with 'Play' and I think that's helpful to remember in both in art and life. But keep going back to the fundamentals regularly it'll make your fun art look better and better. Also I prefer YouTube tutorials over learning from a book. Seeing these principles demonstrated in motion makes a lot more sense then trying to understand descriptions of how to do it in words. I suggest Proko and also Sycra both as really good YouTube drawing teachers! Also one of my favorite sources of learning how to draw is The Drawing Website. I suggest subscribing to the newsletter for a great drawing resource! There are many more great online resources I could mention but this will give you a good start. Let google be your friend. Also feel free to ask me for help anytime! And last but not least don't be afraid to suck! All of us artists suck. some just have worked hard enough to suck a little less. To suck less is Success ;) Sincerely, - Marshall 'PLEX' Couture Also Find me on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube "Brain Child" by Marshall 'PLEX' Couture "Corncob Rob" by Marshall 'PLEX' Couture "Twenty Twelve" concept by Mario design by Marshall 'PLEX' Couture "Cipher" concept by John R.
